About Kim
Kim Stetson has a B.S. from the University of Texas College of
Natural Science with an emphasis on Food Science and a Minor in
Chemistry. She holds multiple teacher certifications, including
Chemistry, Home Economics Education and Generalist (all core
subjects) grades 4-8. She has taught both Home Economics and
Science at the high school level.
Ms. Stetson has 5 children who have been learning at home for 13
years now and has graduated her first who is headed to college in
Fall 2010. Ms. Stetson believes science should be exciting for all
students since we learn best when we are having a good time. Her
mission is to inspire her students to learn more about God’s
wonderful creation through inquiry and experimentation, and lots of
fun! Courses use Apologia curriculum with abundant supplemental
labs and activities in an attempt to make science an integral part of
the child’s every day life.
